Wills

At Wyndham & Associates we feel it is necessary for everyone to have a will (Last Will and Testament). Wills are often drafted pursuant to a formal estate planning process, but this does not have to be the case. Wyndham & Associates is experienced in this area of the law and has been drafting wills for years.

Whether you only have the need for specific bequests of personal property, or whether you have a more complicated estate and the need for Testamentary Trusts, Wyndham & Associates can be of assistance. At Wyndham & Associates we are aware and respective of family sensibilities. The terms of your Last Will and Testament will be known only to you, and all matters will be held in confidence.

At Wyndham & Associates whenever we draft a Last Will and Testament, we also recommend drafting a Living Will, a Healthcare Power of Attorney, and a Durable Power of Attorney. We feel it is essential for clients to consider how they feel about end of life issues and have these documents properly executed in advance. We are open to discussing these important issues with our clients in a serious and sensitive way.

Probate Estate

Probating the Last Will and Testament of a loved one who is recently deceased can be an emotionally trying time for anyone. The need for this action usually occurs while the grieving is still in process, which is especially so if the death of the loved one was sudden and unexpected.

The firm of Wyndham & Associates is experienced in probating estates. We are able to draft the necessary paperwork, collect the court costs, and file the probate documents in a manner that requires as little effort as possible from a grieving family. The family is kept informed and made aware of the process and its progress.

In cases in which the loved one did not leave a Last Will and Testament, the deceased is said to have died “intestate” – or to have died without a Will. This can create problems for the Estate and the family not encountered when there is a Will. This situation can be especially difficult if there is real estate involved. Due to the real estate experience of the lawyers at Wyndham & Associates, these issues can be faced and resolved with as little loss of time and money as possible.

Whether you are facing the probate of a Last Will and Testament or the administration of an Intestate Estate, the firm of Wyndham & Associates is ready and able to assist you with the process. We will do so efficiently and in a professional manner, always remembering the sensibilities of the family.
